Cuckoo = T sing song, teaches st. part (echo answers to questions), entire class sings most of the answers to questions excluding last answer, two students are chosen to be it (one guesser and one secret cuckoo), secret cuckoo sings last answer and guesser has to guess who it was from 3 guesses
Assessments
1. Can students sing the group responses to questions sung by the teacher?
2. Can the student who is the “secret cuckoo” sing “cuckoo” to the tune of sol-mi?
3. Can students identify the lower and higher notes/sol and mi using body solfege?
Halloween, Halloween = T sings song, asks critical listening questions, st. stand in circle and hold hands while moving in circle and singing song, two st. start as “ghostbusters” and catch a “ghost” on the word “cats”

1. Can students sing the song independently?
2. Can students identify the lower and higher notes/sol and mi using body solfege?
Witch, Witch = T sings song, teaches song to st. (with solo responses), one st. is chosen to be “it” (witch in the middle of the circle), circle of st. skips around witch while singing refrain, witch chooses 3 people to ask “Are you my children?”, all but the last respond “Yes we’re your children”, last st. responds “No you old witch!"

Come Back Home = T sings song, teaches st. responses if they are “it”, “hen” and “wolf” are chosen, st. hold hands in a circle with arms down while singing song, at words “kitty cat’s tail” arms go up and “wolf” chases “hen” in and out of windows until T counts down from 5 to 0, at 0 new “hen” and “wolf” are chosen
